This tool was created at the Fair Energy Futures bootcamp
Participants came from a variety of organisations including small and large energy suppliers, housing associations, consumer advocacy agencies, distribution network operators, academics, local government and fuel poverty charities.
We tried to answer the question how can we understand the impact that we would ideally like to see from 'solutions'/innovations designed to improve the situation of fuel poverty in the UK?
This led to us identifying nine categories that we thought should be considered to understand how an innovation would have an impact in this space:
From that we then designed a series of questions and answers that would encapsulate each category. This was not an easy task!
The final questions that you see are from the efforts of this brief workshop - they are a starter for 10 rather than an all-encompassing final pass at how we measure innovation on fuel poverty.
The tool is now being used by different organisations at different events - using feedback from these, the questions can be tested and refined.
